The role

As Principal Platform Engineer at AdvanzoTech, you own the long-term integrity of our shared infrastructure, delivery fabric, and developer experience. You work across product and delivery teams to establish patterns that are secure by default, observable in production, and composed for longevity — not short-lived convenience.

You will shape multi-cloud and Kubernetes strategies, harden CI/CD and environment promotion, and mentor senior engineers through design reviews that name trade-offs clearly. Success means platforms that operators trust, teams that ship with composure, and architecture that still holds when requirements evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Lead platform architecture for shared services, runtime standards, and cross-product infrastructure.
  • Define reliability, security, and observability baselines that every production system inherits.
  • Partner with product and delivery leads to unblock complex integrations and institutional constraints.
  • Drive design reviews, RFCs, and written decision records that raise craft across engineering.
  • Mentor staff and senior engineers; grow platform judgment without creating gatekeeping theatre.

Requirements

  • Deep experience designing and operating platforms at scale (Kubernetes, cloud IAM, networking, data planes).
  • Proven ability to set technical direction across multiple teams and sustain it through delivery pressure.
  • Strong systems thinking: failure modes, blast radius, rollback, and operational runbooks as first-class design.
  • Excellent written communication — architecture that institutions can audit and evolve.
  • Track record mentoring senior engineers and facilitating rigorous, respectful design critique.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated or high-assurance environments (finance, healthcare, public sector).
  • Prior work on developer platforms, internal tooling, or paved-path delivery systems.
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, policy-as-code, and multi-account cloud governance.
